About

I am a muralist, mosaicist, mixed media artist and teacher. I have taught art for over 40 years in both secondary schools and universities. I have exhibited widely in and around Chicago as well as in Phoenix, Santa Fe, Paris, NYC, and Edinburgh Festival.

I am a affiliate member of ARC Gallery in Chicago. My painted and mosaic public murals can be seen in Chicago and in the following publications: "A Guide to Chicago Murals" and "Urban Art Chicago".

My paintings are inspired by my love of opera as well as history, both familial and social.

I am influenced primarily by artists such as Goya, the Vienna Secesstionists, Munch, Redon, and Ensor.

My paintings are alive with glowing color and I use various mediums to achieve textural effects.
